I’m a huge fan of the rapper Jay-z. In 2003, he was supposed to retire from rapping. During that year he had a album entitled “The Black Album.” On that album there was a song that I loved; it was called encore. In 2009, it was my first time that I had seen him in concert. When he began rapping that song I had so much energy and I was so excited. This song talks about his retirement but he also talks about what he accomplished and it inspires me to be successful and to be all I can be. I remember because after that show I no longer had a voice. I went with my friend and my brother. Jay-z is a very popular rapper so there are many people who have an appreciation for his music. Jay-z’s music is always so relate able because he comes from a urban environment and his core fans come from similar areas. This helps him to connect with fans on a deeper level because they share some of the same experiences. Lately I have been thinking, why is that people are inclined to speak negative over one another instead of speaking positivity and encouragement. I like being surrounded by positive people and a positive environment. As I sit and think one of my most joyous memories is when I went on senior prom. I was so excited. Everyone around me was excited and they all shared positive energy. This experience reminds me of the Jay-z concert because the energy and atmosphere was filled with such enthusiasm and excitement.  Both the prom and the concert experience were truly AWESOME
